Mopar’s “most powerful pickup truck in the world” may look even better with some eye-catching decorations and contrast stitching in the cabin. At this year’s SEMA show, Mopar’s accessories were shown in a prototype Ram 1500 called the TRX Gold Shot, which sent just that message. If the cosmetic enhancements aren’t enough, there’s also a pair of motorbikes in the trunk.
At SEMA, you can never have enough. To illustrate, consider this Ram 1500 TRX Gold Shot idea. Mopar kicked things off with a Ram 1500 TRX that cranked out 702 horsepower and was dubbed “the apex predator of the production-truck world” and “the quickest, fastest, and a most powerful pickup truck in the world” by the company. Then, it was outfitted with TRX logos that stretched over the sides in Satin Bitter Yellow and Satin Black, bespoke Vintage Bronze 18-by-9.5-inch Black Rhino Chamber wheels, and 37-inch BFGoodrich tires.
Fittingly for a Mopar vehicle, the TRX Gold Shot design is a truck-sized display for approved add-ons. A retractable bed step and twin five-inch black Mopar exhaust tips can be seen at the vehicle’s rear. Two powerful TYRI LED concept lights, each measuring 14 inches in diameter and capable of emitting up to 4300 lumens, are mounted on the RamBar accessory bar behind the cab. Mopar rock rails safeguard the door jambs, and front and rear metal skid plates have the Mopar logo engraved in lasers. The approach angle is raised from 29.6 to 32.5 degrees thanks to the front skid plate.
The Ram 1500 TRX has a standard dashboard and center console. However, the seats and interior textiles are not factory-original. The garment looks professional without being gaudy; it’s mostly black with Gold Spinneybeck and Alaska Gold embellishments and stitching. Capri leather covers the sports seats, while the inner bolsters are upholstered in perforated Alcantara. The vinyl floor is a holdover from the Ram 1500 Tradesman and contributes to the Gold Shot’s adventurer aesthetic while also making cleanup a breeze.
Mopar is sending ten other ideas or customized cars in addition to the TRX Gold Shot. SEMA will also see the introduction of the Ram 1500 Backcountry X concept, the Jeep CJ Surge, and eight additional Jeep custom cars. The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show will be held in the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 1 to 4. The eye-catching Ram 1500 TRX Gold Shot Concept takes the top dog of production trucks and modifies it into a high-performance toy carrier for motorcyclists.
The Satin Bitter Yellow/Satin Black idea is based on the 702-horsepower Ram 1500 TRX, the world’s quickest, fastest, and most powerful pickup truck. It has huge TRX side graphics and provides the proven high-speed performance and durability to get to the off-road trails in record time. 18×9.5in Vintage Bronze Black Rhino Chambers on 37in BFGoodrich tires provide the vehicle with a performance-oriented stance at all four corners. A Mopar bed step, which can be lowered for easy access to two bikes in the truck bed and retracted to a stowed, out-of-the-way position with a little push, is ideal for this purpose.
Two conceptual 14-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights provide 4,300 lumens of brilliant light and are mounted on a RamBar accessory bar behind the cab. A Mopar spray-on textured bed liner in black safeguards the vehicle bed.
