A scripted series airing on Hulu that focuses on Formula One? Weirder things have happened, and yes – it’s about to join the ranks.
Driver Daniel Ricciardo is reportedly working on Hulu with an upcoming F1 series, and it’s generating some buzz in the US.

So what are the details? Well, so far, Hulu is keeping things under wraps. But here’s what we know so far:
- McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo is working with Hulu for the show
- It’s expected to be 30-minute episodes with scripted content focusing on the F1 world
- Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports that the series comes from, “ABC Signature, Lionsgate Television and Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Phoebe Zimmer and Sydney Title.”

Right now, Formula One Fever is reaching a fever pitch. Not only has the racing world expanded in the United States to include ten circuits, including the newly opened Miami Gardens Grand Prix.
Netflix launched a brief comedy series titled F1 starring Kevin James which only made it a single season.
But Apple has also gotten in on the excitement, creating a Formula 1 feature starring Brad Pitt after fighting for the rights to it. In addition, Apple recently started producing a documentary about British Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton.
In a country where NASCAR reigns supreme, the introduction of Formula One is a bit of a step up. But instead of fighting over turfs and bragging rights, racing fans are welcoming NASCAR’s old money older cousin, creating a super conglomerate of racing fans across the United States.
When the new series lands on Hulu in the next year or two, it will likely be welcomed with acclaim – but for now, fans are playing the waiting game.
